Dear elite, intellectual ones,
What’s this hatred towards one person?
I understand opposition and constructive criticism,
But what’s this negativity, with everything that happens in the country?
Are these a result of the systematic brainwashing at your high end universities, funded by foreign ‘aid’?
Or is it the influence of your social circles filled with vested interests?
You display heartbreak for the migrant worker’s plight,
But have no words when hundreds of jobs are created for them back home, almost overnight.
You cite BBC and demean your own country.
Have you no clue about the anti India lobby?
You understand mental health struggles in your high profile jobs,
But not the need for flower-showering morale-boosting for the health care workers fighting the death fog.
Freedom of speech is your most beloved cause. Your speech filled with venom and cusses.
Without respect for any person, position or anyone’s sentiment. And no sense of what hurt it may cause.
You talk the Western tone and preach to this civilization, the ‘tolerant way’,
When ‘Vasudhev Kutumbakam’ can kick securalism’s ass anyday.
You even question, why stand up when the national anthem plays,
You have probably never had a loved one stand at the border or don’t understand the sentiment it portrays.
While most of us are just trying to excel in our fields,
You somehow are an expert at Defence, Economics and Foreign policy.
In your disregarded, prejudiced hatred for one man,
You stand against every government policy and question the defence forces of your own land.
You hinder all work and seem to think all decisions need your seal.
There’s a reason the government is chosen, and remember, chosen by majority.
Dear intellectual elite,
You are my friend, neighbour, colleague.
You are loud, ‘coz twitter is your playground.
But there’s a common man, not so elite, probably a little closer to reality,
Take a cue from him, open your mind..
Add the term ‘National Interest’ in your dictionary.
